Un verdadero deleite para los fanáticos del rock progresivo ofreció el cantante británico Roger Hodgson, en su impecable presentación en Movistar Arena. El ex vocalista del emblemático grupo “Supertramps” inició su concierto de más de dos horas, con “Take a long way home”, uno de los más populares singles de su álbum “Breakfast in America”, que marcó a toda una generación ochentera.
El propio Hodgson invitó a todos a celebrar la vida y a corear sus canciones, entre las que destacaron “The logical song”, “It’s rainning again”, “Give a little bit” y “Dreamer”, por mencionar sólo algunas de las que él mismo compuso y en las que fue la voz principal durante toda su época en Supertramp, entre 1969 y 1983.
El concierto incluyó también temas de su carrera como solista. Entre ellos, “In Jeopardy” y “Lovers in the wind” -pertenecientes al álbum “In the eye of the storm”, de 1984-, además de otros correspondientes a su placa “Open the door”, editada en el 2000.
Roger Hodgson, junto a su banda, no hicieron extrañar el sonido de la guitarra eléctrica, que junto a la batería, teclados, bajo, vientos y una guitarra acústica perfecta, hicieron literalmente “volar” a los asistentes a través de atmósferas alegres y algunas nostálgicas, plenas de recuerdos.
