Translation: Sabine Cassar-Alpert Absolutely super: Supertramp! Doris Banuscher in Welt am Sonntag (Hamburg) on 1st June 2008
What an evening! Roger Hodgson, founder and voice of the legendary band Supertramp (“Dreamer,” “Logical Song,” “Breakfast in America”) turned the Fabrik into a bubbling cauldron. For two hours the winsome singer, together with the equally fantastic Aaron McDonald, cast a spell on around 1000 guests and provided for a super atmosphere. The fans danced to the Supertramp hits, singing along loudly, and their jubilation was awarded with five encores. Roger Hodgson was visibly happy and recounted that the last time he’d been to Hamburg was in 1983. But on 16th March 2009 he will return for a concert. “I’m just looking for the right location,” the singer revealed. Before and after the musical moments of glory culinary delights were served: Currywurst, escalopes, mozzarella and tomatoes on a skewer, to mention a few.
Engel & Völkers had invited to this exclusive private concert. The hosts, Chrstian Völkers, founder and CEO, and his partner Alexander Lampert, have good reason for celebrations: 30 years ago the company was founded, and in the meantime there are more than 350 E&V real estate shops in 24 countries, with around 3000 employees. And now yachts are brokered out of London. “But we are and remain a Hamburg company,” assured Lampert under great applause in his opening address. Anyway, everyone who was able to attend will for a long time talk about this great concert, and the entire evening. |
