Roger Hodgson, ex vocalista y fundador del legendario grupo Supertramp, hizo su aparición por primera vez en tierras zacatecanas y ofreció un concierto sólo para conocedores en una Plaza de Armas que reunió tanto a jóvenes como a contemporáneos de la época dorada del grupo, en el marco del la vigésima tercera edición del Festival Cultural Zacatecas 2009.
En punto de las 20:55 horas, bajo un cielo iluminado de estrellas, inicia Roger Hodgson un concierto que envolvió de nostalgia a los zacatecanos y visitantes; con la mirada al infinito, interpreta de inicio "Take the long way home," uno de los clásicos de la legendaria agrupación que tuvo su bonanza musical al inicio de la década de los 70.
Roger Hodgson viene de recibir al pasado 15 de Febrero en el Festival de Viña del Mar (Chile) la Diosa de Plata y Zacatecas lo recibe por primera ocasión en el máximo recinto del festival zacatecano, con lo que celebra sus 40 años de carrera artística.
En una noche fría, después de interpretar "Lovers in the wind," el respetable no deja de aplaudir a un músico sorprendido por la respuesta a cada una de sus canciones que eran coreadas por propios y extraños.
El concierto, el más nostálgico del Festival Cultural, fue subiendo de tono y la calidez de los cerca de siete mil presentes era absoluta, cuando llegan los temas "The logical song," "Lord is it mine" y "Breakfast in América", entre otros, que cautivaron y envolvieron a los presentes.
A Roger Hodgson le bastaron dos pianos, dos guitarras y un sax, además de su incomparable voz, para hacer cimbrar de emoción a los asistentes a esta sexta jornada del Festival Cultural Zacatecas 2009 en la plancha del zócalo zacatecano, que luego de una hora y cincuenta minutos de concierto, la gente pedía a gritos una y otra más.
Después de agradecer el poder estar en Zacatecas, ciudad que calificó como mágica y maravillosa, el fundador de Supertramp deja un grato sabor en Zacatecas y se despide con otro más de los clásicos "It's raining again," con el que culmina uno de los mejores conciertos en cuanto a extraordinaria calidad musical.

Roger Hodgson, former vocalist and founder of legendary band Supertramp, appeared for the first time in Zacatecas and offered a concert for his audience at Plaza de Armas, where young people and older fans from the golden era of the band were reunited during the 23rd Festival Cultural Zacatecas 2009.
At 20:55 h., under a sky full of stars, Roger Hodgson started a show that covered with nostalgic all the audience from Zatatecas and other places. Looking at infinitum, he first played "Take the long way home," one of the classics from his legendary group which had its better musical days at the beginning of 70s.
Roger Hodgson was honoured on February 15th during the Festival of Viña del Mar, Chile, with the Silver Award, and Zacatecas welcomed him in the best venue of its festival, while he is celebrating 40 years of musical career.
In a cold night, after performing "Lovers in the wind," the people kept applauding to a musician who was surprised for the answer from the audience, who were celebrating every song.
The show was the most nostalgic one of the Festival Cultural, and it was increasing the warmness, which reached its top with the songs "The logical song,", "Lord is it mine," "Breakfast in América" and others, captivating the seven thousands of people in the audience.
Roger Hodgson just needed two pianos, two guitars and one sax, besides his amazing voice, to touch all the audience in the sixth day of the Festival Cultural Zacatecas 2009, and after almost two hours playing, the people still wanted to hear more songs.
After thanking for being in Zacatecas, a town he said it was magical and wonderful, the founder of Supertramp made all the people happy and said goodbye with other classic, "It's raining again," culminating one of the best concerts played here ever for its extraordinary musical quality. |
