¿Será que Supertramp aún vive? Ayer, en el Teatre Auditori del Camp de Mart de Tarragona lo pareció. Roger Hodgson invocó el espíritu de Supertramp y lo hizo junto a su banda, en un concierto que supuso su estreno en España.
Con una puesta en escena señorial y un repertorio para nostálgicos, Hodgson conquistó al público, en total unas 1.700 personas que vibraron desde el primer momento. El mismo número de personas que pocas horas antes de que empezara el concierto estuvieron pendientes del cielo, y es que de hecho llegaron a caer algunas gotas.
El piano, situado en el centro, presidió la escena. Espectacular. Hodgson es un hombre de detalles, y cada instrumento reposaba sobre su alfombra. Y como telón de fondo, las Murallas de Tarragona.
El juego de luces no dejó indiferente a nadie en un concierto en el que no faltaron las grandes perlas de Supertramp: “Give a little bit”, “Dreamer”, “It’s raining again”, “Take the long way home”, “The logical song”, “Breakfast in America” y “Fool’s overture”, entre otras joyas que también sonaron y que forman parte de la banda sonora de muchos.
Roger Hodgson también ofreció al público asistente algunos temas de su etapa en solitario.

Maybe Supertramp is still alive? Last night it seemed so at the Teatre Auditorie del Camp de Mart in Tarragona. Roger Hodgson and his band invoked the spirit of Supertramp during their first show in Spain ever.
With a stately staging and a set-list for nostalgic people, Hodgson captivated the audience, around 1,700 people who vibrated from the beginning. Some hours before, all of them had been looking at the sky, and the fact is that it was raining a bit.
The grand piano, located at the center of the stage, dominated the scene. It was spectacular. Hodgson is a meticulous man, and every instrument was resting on its carpet. The backdrop consisted of the Walls of Tarragona.
The lighting system didn’t go unnoticed to anyone during a show which included the best Supertramp gems: “Give a little bit”, “Dreamer”, “It’s raining again”, “Take the long way home”, “The logical song”, “Breakfast in America” and “Fool’s overture”, among other jewels which are part of the soundtrack for many people.
Roger Hodgson also offered to the attending audience some pieces from his solo career.
