Einen solchen Abend haben am Samstag tausende Supertramp- und Klassikfans im Aachener Kurpark erlebt: Roger Hodgson, Komponist und legendäre Stimme von Supertramp, verzauberte sein Publikum und entführte es in das Reich der wohltemperierten Erinnerungen. Überglückliches Dauergrinsen und rhythmisches Klatschen, treffsicheres Pfeifen und enthusiastische Jubelschreie begleiteten den Multiinstrumentalisten mit der Gänsehaut-Stimme durch sein Werk. Am Ende wollten die restlos begeisterten Zuhörer den Weltstar gar nicht mehr gehen lassen. Was die Aachener zusätzlich beeindruckte: Da singt einer vom Regen («It's raining again») - und es bleibt trocken... Alles, was recht ist: Veranstalter Christian Mourad und dem Sinfonieorchester Aachen unter GMD Marcus Bosch ist im Laufe kürzester Zeit mit den Kurpark Classix eine tiptop Veranstaltungsreihe gelungen, die immer größere Kreise zieht und eine prima Visitenkarte für Aachen ist. Schon Freitagabend ging es klassisch mit einem Topprogramm los, auch die beiden Konzerte am Sonntag (für Familien am Morgen und die Last Night bezeichnenderweis' am Abend) versprechen allerfeinste Unterhaltung. Aber der Superhit: all die Superhits von Roger Hodgson am Samstagabend. Dreamer, School, Give a little bit, The logical song, Take the long way home - die Ohrwürmer längst vergangener Tage waren mit einem Mal wieder da. Perfekt harmonierten Hodgsons Band und das Orchester unter der Leitung von Daniel Jakobi - oder wie der Meister mehrfach sagte: Dänjel Djäkowbi. Spaß hatten in dieser Nacht alle: die Fans auf der Tribüne und die daneben im Park, die Musiker, der sympathische Star, die Veranstalter. Es war ein perfekter Abend. Ein Abend, der nach mehr verlangt. Ein Abend, der ein dickes Kompliment an die Macher der Kurpark Classix ist. Und ein Abend, der wohl etliche Besucher anschließend in Keller und auf Speicher führte, um den alten Plattenspieler und die Supertramp-LPs hervorzukramen.
