Roger Hodgson, uma das vozes mais distintas da história do rock e ex-vocalista da banda britânica Supertramp, se apresenta em Porto Alegre nesta terça-feira. Acompanhado de uma banda formada por quatro músicos, ele promete fazer dessa noite uma data recheada de sucessos e clássicos que farão com que todos voltem no tempo. O show ocorre às 21h30min, no Pepsi On Stage (Severo Dullius, 1995), e os ingressos estão disponíveis pelo

Hodgson nasceu em Portsmouth, na Inglaterra, em 21 de março de 1950 e no palco do Pepsi On Stage estará completando 67 anos. Os primeiros passos na carreira de músico foram aos 12 anos, quando começou a escrever canções. Já aos 13, tocou a primeira vez para um público. O grande marco da sua trajetória foi em 1969, ano em que virou um dos fundadores do Supertramp. A maioria das músicas que são frequentemente associadas ao grupo são na verdade todas do próprio Roger Hodgson, como "Give a Little Bit", "The Logical Song", "Dreamer", "Take the Long Way Home", "Breakfast in America", "School", "Fool’s Overture", e "It’s Raining Again".
O músico ficou até 1983 com o Supertramp e depois seguiu carreira solo. Já a banda continuou com Rick Davies e outros integrantes. O primeiro álbum solo de Roger, “In the Eye of the Storm” (1984), vendeu dois milhões de cópias e ele tocou todos os instrumentos. Por conta disso, ganhou duas vezes o prêmio da ASCAP (Associação Americana de Compositores, Autores e Editores) pelas suas canções serem permanentemente tocadas no rádio e reconhecidas, provando que resistiram à passagem do tempo.

Roger Hodgson, one of the most distinguished voices in rock history and former lead singer of British band Supertramp, performs in Porto Alegre on Tuesday. Accompanied by a band made up of four musicians, he promises to make this night a date full of hits and classics that will make everyone come back in time. The show takes place at 9:30 p.m., at Pepsi On Stage (Severo Dullius, 1995), and tickets are available through the

Hodgson was born in Portsmouth, England, on March 21, 1950 and on stage at Pepsi On Stage will be turning 67.
