Roger se mostró alegre, comunicativo y agradecido por la respuesta recibida, haciendo hincapié en que era un placer conocer lugares nuevos para él y dedicando temas a fans que estaban entre el público (incluso recibió un “retrato” pintado por uno de ellos que sacó al final del concierto para mostrárnoslo). by: Editorial Amazing concert we live in Murcia in this mini tour of Roger Hodgson (who also had a great success in Valencia and will be continued in August with his return to Mallorca, Marbella and Peralada, the latter already sold out). And it is that perhaps because this tour is named "Breakfast in America World Tour", or at concerts have been sold very clearly that who performs is the "Legendary Singer-Songwriter formely of Supertramp," it has done that, finally, the former leader of the legendary band is having in recent years all the recognition stolen by Rick Davies and his brand. Because if something was demonstrated in this spectacular show, which was just as successful in terms of critics and audience the day before in Valencia, it is that Roger Hodgson is Supertramp. He has a reliable band that includes Aaron MacDonald on saxophone, harmonica and keyboards, Bryan Head on drums, Kevin Adamson on keyboards and David J Carpenter on bass (and all also doing vocals). And, of course, the own Hodgson with his unmistakable voice on keyboards and acoustic guitars by tracks, changing the trend of previous visits of intimate shows.
Roger opened fire, once introduced by a voice in off, as the musician whose songs had won four generations of fans, with the famous "Take the Long Way Home" of that album, greeted with a standing ovation. It was followed by "School", composed together with his former partner Rick Davies that opened the old 'Crime of the Century' in 1974. Still, these first two songs reached their peak of popularity when they were included in the legendary live album "Paris", one of the most important in history. The first raid on his solo work was for his first album of 1984, 'In the Eye of the Storm', the famous "lost album of Supertramp". The cut corresponds to the second single "In Jeopardy", which although it was not a massive hit, I think the time has become a little gem and it's one of Mr. Hodgson's perfect tracks. Roger showed himself cheerful, communicative and grateful for the response, emphasizing that it was a pleasure to meet new places to him and dedicating songs to fans who were in the audience (even received a "portrait" painted by one of them that brought at the end of the concert to show us). Following the repertoire, the great ballad "Lovers in the Wind" was another memory of his first solo album. This track gave way to the first "black label" in the night, "Breakfast in America", a song that made the audience stand up to listen to this faithfulness interpretation of the original recording.
