Now # 1 in CANADA
For Immediate Release Toronto, ON (Friday, November 10, 2006)
Roger Hodgson is once again number one in Canada. The co-founder, creative genius and chief architect of Supertramp, one of the most successful bands in rock history, is back on top with his first national coast to coast Canadian tour since leaving the band. His solo live concert DVD rocketed to the top of the charts, shooting to number one in Quebec, going Platinum in just seven weeks, and now reaching number one nationwide across Canada. The success of his DVD attests to how much Canadians are raving about his spectacular live concerts.
You may not recognize the name but you would certainly recognize the voice. One in fifteen Canadians own the classic Supertramp albums “Crime of the Century” and “Breakfast in America” with Hodgson being the signature voice and composer of their mega-hits “Dreamer,” “The Logical Song,” “Take the Long Way Home,” and “Breakfast In America.” Canadians have long had a love affair with Roger Hodgson and his music, and are now reliving many of their favorite songs performed in purest form on the DVD. Recorded in Montreal, Take the Long Way Home reveals both the intimacy of his shows and the incredible force of a legendary musician in absolute top form.
Canadians are blown away with Roger’s live performance:
The same phenomenal live performance that has propelled the DVD to #1 can be experienced across Canada as Hodgson’s national tour continues. Without a doubt, Roger Hodgson’s concert is one of the most amazing musical experiences to be had. It is a magical 2 hours of remarkable sound & vocals, his voice stronger than ever with an incredible range and spot-on pitch taking us back to our earlier years when his unique sound first touched our lives. Hodgson is at the top of his game, his live concert is truly awe inspiring and there are just a few more chances to experience this number one selling artist and genuine living legend as he wraps up his Take the Long Way Home tour.
Canadian Idols receive more Mentoring from a Rock Legend
