Roger Hodgson’s trademark way of setting beautiful introspective lyrics to upbeat melodies resonated and found its way into the hearts and minds of people from cultures around the globe.
He is the Voice you have been listening to on almost all the classic hit songs that were recorded by Supertramp, the Voice people all over the world love.
Roger began writing songs at the age of 12 and performed his first concert of original songs at the age of 13. He later recorded some of his songs with Supertramp and many of them have become the soundtrack of our lives. Although Roger and Supertramp’s other co-founder, Rick Davies, shared writing credit, they actually wrote and composed separately with each singing their own songs. Every song Roger performs in concert was written and composed by him.
Uniting four generations at his concerts,
Roger transports baby boomers back to their youth and gives younger generations a taste of why his heartfelt songs have endured. Audiences are once again experiencing the magic and spirit that
Roger Hodgson created with Supertramp.

All the songs below that Roger recorded with Supertramp
(**) were credited Hodgson/Davies, Roger and Rick actually wrote separately after the album Indelibly Stamped onward. In fact, many of Roger’s songs he wrote before he met Rick Davies and co-founded Supertramp in 1969.
Supertramp was hardly an overnight success. It wasn't until 1974, with Roger Hodgson’s composition, “Dreamer,”
released on the band's "Crime of the
Century" album, that Supertramp had a top selling single. It
was two years later, with the Hodgson penned song, “Give A Little Bit”
that the group had a top twenty United States hit. Out of the top ten Supertramp hits, eight
were written and composed by Roger
Hodgson.
Supertramp, the band, did not write the
songs and does not own the songs. The
name Supertramp is a brand name that has
been trademarked by Rick Davies and his
wife.
While Roger is credited on the songs Rick Davies wrote, they are not listed in Roger’s repertoire and he does not perform them in concert.
